I want to remove it!
Okay, I finished putting the 72 GTV back together for my kid. I had it idling in the driveway last night and I noticed the rear muffler had a leak on the side. So I thought perfect time to change it with a ANSA tip! My boy wants a more aggressive sound as well, so why not. Anyway I can't find a replacement (new or used) for a GTV. Does anybody have one for sell or know where I can get one? No IAP, Centerline and $$$ re-originals don't carry them.

Get a used muffler for now and buy one of the Magnaflow systems when we start selling them on the BB. You've gotta hear Kai's car!

The reason we don't carry the Ansa any longer at Centerline is that we feel they took a nosedive a few years ago in the quality department.
We do have a "stinger" tailpipe for the GTV, sounds about the same as an Ansa twin tip, saves weight, and only cost $57. We also have a GTA version (60mm tubing) for $73. Sorry for the bad picture, it's all I have at the moment. Everyone seems to love them.

Anthony (a.k.a "hollywood"), what are we going to be paying for the set-up? the 67 will be needing one shortly.

I used the Centerline stinger tailpipe before going to a bigger engine and stainless Magnaflow 2.25" exhaust. The car sounded great with the Centerline back section, more aggressive, but not obnoxious.

Thanks Gary, I'm sold. You know I had a hopped up TR6 and I used a Super Trapp with no muffs, just the disk that sit inside and that unit was great! Loud, but great!

Okay, Centerline is sold out of there stinger set-up. Does anybody have another idea on where I can get a simular "bolt-on" unit? At this point new or used.

Simon is working with Magnaflow at the moment on this. He will be putting up a thread in the near future with prices, availability, and other info.
Thanks,

italcarguy - good to hear. I just sent Simon a pm regarding the setup tested on Kai's car. My Super is in desparate need of everything after the exhaust manifold. Hopefully the price will be reasonable or maybe the exhaust system can be owner installed.

Why not take the old muffler off, saw off the can and splice in a section of tube ?

These guys have what you are looking for too as well as CSC exhausts which are very good if somewhat pricey (no English on the site but you'll figure it out).
Also, the usual German suspects will have what you seek.
Success.
