Question Hot Ignition Coil

I was starting my GT Jr. yesterday after a three week downtime. Needless to say, it didn't want to fire-up right away. So I poped the hood and checked all the wires. When I checked the ignition coil wire, I noticed the coil body felt pretty hot. Not enough to burn, but pretty warm. Is this normal?
The last one I changed was five years old when it started leaking oil. I wonder if there is an underlying problem that I'm not aware of?

Check the resistance between the terminals, it should be 0. The coil on my Verde leaked about 4k ohms and got hot enough to damage the HT lead.
