Parts for 2000 LSD rear axle

Hi.
I have a LSD axle with broken crown wheel & pinion. It has a 4.10 ratio. This car is mostly used for trackdays.I am interested in a another ratio for my use.Is it possible to fit a crown wheel & pinion from a NON-LSD axle???Parts from a 1600 non-LSD with 4.55 ratio would have been suitable.

Regards
Geir,from Norway

I didn't follow it real close but this thread may provide some answers:

Also, I think 4.55 (or 4.56?) LSD rear ends were standard on all U.S. bound Spiders, Berlinas and 115 GTVs from about 72 - 80 (give or take a year) so an American supplier might be a good source for your ring and pinion. Good luck.

Non LSD ring and pinions are different from LSD. Also there are two types of LSD ring & pinions, 8 bolt and 10 bolt - check your axle before yoou order parts.

In North America, the cheapest source is buying a whole axle. In Europe the 4.55 (9/41) is probably hard to come by.

I have a used 9/41 (8 bolt) that I just took out of an axle for a ratio change but there are potential problems setting up used ring & pinions in another axle.

I'd give AFRA a call whether they still have new ones. Your alternative might be finding a used US spec 2000 GTV - they sold quite a few in Europe after production ended.

Now the old part # I have in my books for an 8 bolt US ring & pinion is 105.12.17.021.06 only that the part book states that this is 8/41 eg 5.12 - I believe that this is a printing error and the part # is actually for the 9/41. I don't know if the 4.55 was available in the 10 bolt pattern.
