GT Junior Dashes

Jorgen,
which dash does your gt junior have? my 1968 gt junior came with the same dash as in a 66-68 1600 giulia sprint gt veloce (the fake wood type) and my 1970 gt junior came with the same as in a 69-71 1750 gtv.

when i got the 1970 car, i looked to see if someone modified the it to fit it and it looks like it was factory. i then proceeded to look at my books and sure enough some gt juniors had the later 1750 dash.

being that your car is a 69, maybe we can find out if that was the last year for the early dash or first year for the later one.

oh, sorry - overlooked this one

My Junior has this dash:

I believe 1969 was the first year with this tipe of dash. However, I have heard of many "transition period" Alfas, including parts from the "wrong" period.

my 70 has that dash and my 68 had the other so lets assume 69 was the first year for this dash. thanks!

It also might be reasonable to assume that the change occured around the same time as the change from Series 1 to Series 2 GTVs; mid 1970.

it could be. and they used the early series 1 bodies on the juniors since they were out dated and old looking compared to the new body...i think the junior buyers got the better end of the deal
