Angry bad luck...

So....there i was yesterday at work....
Lunchtime....decided i needed to go up the road for some....lunch..

Got to my car....and doom.. ..F***ers broke into my car.
Knocked out the front qtr windscreen on the passenger side,
and rolled the window down and went for my CD/frontloader.
all they mannaged to do was get away with the clipoff face...
on the other hand...they destroyd the CD Unit, killed the dash
& left blood everywhere(on my new seats).

I presume the bastard cut himself on the shreddes of dashboard,
the CD unit is in pieces...looked like he used a crowbar!!
and the DASH....pfffff....also pieces...

so i guess i have to start looking around for a new dash...
i decided this time i'll hide the new cd unit....and get a Classic radio to to match the car....

sigh....so much for 24 hour security guards, electric fence...secure parking my *ss......sorry...just venting....whats the use of restoring a car too look good if some "doos" is just gonna F**K it up!!!!!...again...i'm sorry!!

Paul.

wow, i have never heard of someone messing with an old car. that really sux. i had my milano broken into a while back, it's no fun putting it all back together.

have you thought about going through the insurance...the seats and dash alone are expensive. if you get them to cover it, you can get the dash redone and it would be really nice again as opposed to looking for "good used" parts.

just a thought.

That sucks!

Karma will catch up with them. Judging by the blood, perhaps that is exactly what happened.

We live in hope

Real sorry to hear that!! I once had my old
spider's top cut, just to steal a really crappy
Radio Shack cassette

From then on, I never locked the doors.
and I have the crappiest stereo out there
in my cars

I was thinking about why people brake into
older cars, and I think its cause the new
cars all have radios that only fit that model,
and security codes.

I think when my GTV is done I will install one
of these:

www.customautosounds.com/classic/secret.html

So no radio in the car, just beautifull wood. Oh, found these guys thru a threat here on the BB.

Paul - bummer.
Price you pay for living in a beautiful country with great year-round Alfa driving weather.

Plus you get idiots everywhere. When I was living in London (Kensington and Chelsea), I once had punks spray the side of my motorbike with black spray paint. Another time someone slashed my motorbike's tyre's sidewall for the hell of it.

I can vaguely see why someone would steal a radio to sell, but there are a**holes out there that would do it just for kicks.

I've also been thinking about a secret radio.
Keven - take a look at http://mustangjack.com/secretaudio.htm as well the 'SS' model looks interesting and now plays MP3s as well.
