Another $65, 000 GTV - I hope!

Well guys, My GTV6 is painted and being slowly assembled - see thread "Painting my GTV6" - so I think its time to get going on the GTV 1750 in the Garage. I bought this one for $500.00 probably 15 years ago. I've collected boxes of new stuff for it over the years. It's been stripped it to bear metal and epoxy primed it. Its' just a chassis now.

With the value going up every year, and the Kentucky National Convention coming to Lexington in 2011, I've decided to get going. They both meed to be completed by then.

I spent the weekend getting it up in it's side for cleaning the bottom. I friend will be taking it for a few months and soda blasting the lower section and bottom. Then it will get the epoxy primer and a new green paint on the underside. After that, I'll start reassembling the suspension so I can wheel it over to a good body srop for painting. Let's go. I ai'nt getting any younger and John M+ will hate me even more if I have three ALFA looking good.

Sure easier to work on it that way, than on your back - like I'm doing on my project.

hey Bud,

John M will hate you, none of his Alfa's are near as nice as your's and your a better/faster driver then he is too.

Looks like a great project...............But paint it black it's a much faster color then white.

Thanks for the nice compliments Murray. Your right, I am a better driver than John M+! Well I'm glad you didn't comment on the Abarth in the pics too. I put up a post about my beauuuuuteeful 1750, and all the guys can do is hoot about the Abarth in the background. ( only kidding, We like to talk about it too. It gives my brother a swelling head when he sees the comments.)

Nope it can't be Black. Think about it.

I now have the '83 GTV6 painted beuteeeeeful Alfa RED

The gloriously fast '86 Spider Veloce painted virgin WHITE

What color should the old GREEN '71 1750 GTV Veloce be........?

[hint: starts with GREEN]

Red, White, and Green - Italian Racing Colors...........

When this is all done, every night I'll be able to look down into my garage and gaze at my three beautiful ALFA-ROMEOs - RED, WHITE, & GREEN - and think what a lucky person I am.

John M+ can't do that either.........................

Besides; I'm inclined to think Green might be faster than Black anyway.
