Oil Filter under headers, any suggestions?

My oil filter is below the headers, and i cant seem to access and remove the bolt unless i remove the headers... any other way to do this, or anyother set up possible?

Thanks,
Scott

Can you get to it with an open end wrench?

Remove the two nuts holding the filter assembly on the block and remove the whole thing. You might want to put a spin-in filter mod on there.

Yes, take out the whole thing. It's much easier and you'll be able to make sure the rubber filter gasket is properly seated.

There's no need to remove the bolt. Just loosen it a few millimeters, break the canister to housing seal and lower the housing as you unscrew the bolt; the bolt stays in place.
