"Personal" Steering wheel

I recently purchased a steering wheel that has a "Personal" stamped on the left side with a small crown logo on top. What is this, was it specific to certain models or years? It is wood rim. Just wondering.

The 2000gtv from 72 to 76 was fitted with a Personal wood rim wheel - could be one of those. Also supplied aftermarket wheels of similar type.

"Personal" is a legitimate manufacturer of high quality steering wheels and since the early 90's, they've been a subsidiary of Nardi (Nardi-Personal S.p.A.).

I had an aftermarket one on my 1750 for a while but it was too small and obscured the upper outer aspects of the instruments. In the end I went back to the larger diameter, original, dished Hellebore.

The crown logo originates from its successful use in F1 - a bit like the laurel wreath on the Alfa badge. Many F1 champions have won driving cars equipped with Personal wheels.
