Why is it that everyone says that this is such a good find? when you can buy other 105's in resonable condition for $4000-$6000 and he's asking 1500 for the shell?
is this model rare or should i put my efforts into one thats allready in resonable condition?
thanks for all your replys and help

1600 Gtv are somewhat rare, I didn't release it was so flogged before you sent the new shots. I would offer him 850 and see what happens. The car is worth way more than that in parts, perhaps you might want to clean the shell up and advertise it. failing that you can always break it for parts in which case you will so very well. The car looks interesting, I would like to know more about its overall condition. Remember what he is asking and what he truly imagines what he will get for it are often very different numbers. People always pad the price as they expect you to haggle. If he doesn't come down on the price, walk away, there are others out there. You might be surprised and have him come back to you. make sure you give him your reasons as to why you are only prepared to pay x, really point its faults out, big time. Iam sure people are not beating a path to his door wanting to buy it. If he wants to shift it he will listen to an offer. Just work out if it is worth it for you to buy it and at what price and can you save it for restoration or to sell to someone else or break it for parts. Selling an unrestored 105 is not that easy (take it from me), they will cost you more to restore than what its worth in most instances. So selling it may be slow, however if it is a breaker you will probably do really well as there are always people chasing parts especially for the stepfront cars.
Good luck, play hardball and don't be afraid to walk away, if you want a barn find or an unrestored 105 you will find one in time ( I found 2 in the end)

You could sell the bumpers for that alone if they are good.
But I would say save it...... prices for these cars keep going up and up, so if you can do most of the work yourself it could be a good investment, not to mention the fun factor and self satisfaction it will bring!
Have a look here - these guys are in Ringwood, I haven't bought anythign off them yet but they seem to sell high quality products (at a price im sure).

Hi there. I just got my car back from the guys at the 105 factory- they did a great job. For mechanics I use the Italian Job, and have been very happy with their work as well.
Good luck!

i offered him $800
he said he wouldn't go lower than $1500
so i walked and told him to call me when he would sell it for reasanable price (for the condition that its in)
i got the feeling he really dosn't wants to sell it!
