Question Gt Shocks

I was just wondering if anyone has tried the Koni yellow’s (the sport ones). Any comments on them or other shocks would help. Thank you in advance.

Luigi

Exclamation Koni FSD shocks

Nope, I had not heard of them either until about two weeks ago! Koni has just introduced a new range of high-performance shocks that, at the moment, is only available off the shelf for a limited number of high-end sports cars and saloons. Basically, the shock absorbers contain two entirely separate circuits that are designed to work independently of each other, so that high frequency movement is dampened in a different way to low frequency movement. In other words, the shocks will be able to ride out a rough road surface while reacting perfectly to chassis load in corners etc.

Well anyway, I'm speaking to a company here in the UK called Sportsline Suspensions, who are one of two Koni main agents, about whether this system can be fitted into a regular-sized shock absorber casing. No news just yet, but it is looking promising. This might be the perfect street shock, who knows? Go to the Koni website and make up your own mind. I'm tired of my Bilsteins, so I'll be swapping them out this summer anyway.

As ever, no financial affiliation etc etc.

From what I gather, the yellow Koni Sports are ideally for track-only cars. Street use is reportedly rough to say the least.

I love the set of red Koni Classics I just installed on my '67. I don't want to risk twisting the chassis/body by installing yellows and matching springs.

I recommend using the AlfaBB search function. There have been many discussions on shocks here.

no problems!

Hey Guys, I've been running the red springs fr. and rear for 1 1/2 yrs with the red Koni's. They are a great combo...but..I swapped out my rear end and while it was down put in a set of yellows in the back. I've got them set with double bushes for firmness and they are GREAT! They keep that *** planted right where it should be. Not harsh at all for me, and I drive the north east and the city where our roads are a little on the rough side.

bye the way, I didn't change the springs, just the shocks. When I first got the car it had ward and dean comp springs in it and they damn near broke the car in 1/2 . Every pebble and crack was like jumping a curb, Ciao
