Special Notes: This car was imported to Montreal in the early 70s and we crossed paths from time to time. The owner sold the car and I lost track of it. In the mid 1980s I was looking for an Alfa that was in better shape than the 2 I had and this one was back in Montreal. I bought it and became the third owner. I had the body work and paint done and drove and enjoyed it. In July of 2002, I decided in a very weak moment that I wasn’t driving it enough and sold the car. I have always regretted it.
The second pictures is this one and it's replacement.

I had a look at Gianni's register - looks like the last entry he had was about a year ago. Anyway, it seems like someone revisits this idea once a year or so, but the effort/submissions eventually taper off. We'll see how this one does. We're currently at 42 cars.

Pat, this is a great idea. Are you coordinating with the GTC registry or are you only dealing with hard tops? I've already supplied my old GTC info to the other registry, but can dig it out again if necessary.

I talked to Alex Gouras about including the info on 115's that he has collected. I thought we had reached an agreement to include it, but it never happened. After that, I just couldn't see it getting critical mass with the onsie-twosie registrations that I was getting so I let it go dormant.

Here are two photos of 3025520 as I acquired it from a longtime friend this summer. He had the car since 1983, and I've known this car even longer, back to the days of the original owner. It is my 8th GTV and 15th Alfa in 31 years

It still bears the original Rosso Amaranto (AR509) paint, apparently a popular color in the registered cars so far. It is 99,9999% rust free. For an east coast car, it's pretty miraculous to dismantle things like the sheetmetal screws holding the closing plates inside the front wheel wells without any hassle, then to peak in there and find the rocker panel front sections absolutely intact.

Unfortunately, it suffered a rear end accident a few years ago and was never repaired. My friend lost interest, and the car suffered. It is doubtful the paint can be saved as it is pretty dull and a significant portion of the rear needs to be repainted. Water got in the ill closing trunk and rotted out the spare tire well.

The car was built in October, 1974, and was sold in Canada as a 1975 model. The Alfetta was introduced late in 1975 over here, probably because Alfa Canada had a number of GTVs and Berlinas left over; Canadian legislation allowed them to sell the cars as 1975 models as long as they complied with the current regulations.

What really puzzles me is that there are US spec GTVs with serial numbers much later than this one - I read in another thread as high as 3027000. Alfa made the US GTVs at the rate of about 1500-2000 per year, so they made the last ones late in 1975 oreven early in 1976... and officially they never sold any as 1975 models in the US. Maybe they sold leftovers in Europe? Some Spica cars ended up being sold new overthere.
