I need an assistant!
But all done. We're now at 38 cars. Who knows how many GTs were produced?

Factory Color: AR202 Bianco Spino
Factory Interior Color: Black Smoke, nero fumo skai (?)

Special Notes: Purchased from the original owner, Brian Lamb of Sunnyvale, CA., in November, 1983. Lamb bought it from Don Hampton, Inc., Imported Car Center for pick up in Milano, October 19, 1967. He paid $3341.00. Mileage when I purchased it: 105300. Mileage now: Approx 178,000. I have a thick file of docs and receipts, including the U.S. and Italian purchase papers, and the Italian license plate used while touring Italy. Also have the first U.S. plate (YAE 746), and the original engine & tranny (in storage). Car is now a fully restored AR501 with beige interior, 2L engine and other upgrades. If Mr. Lamb is still alive and finds this, I'm sorry, really sorry. I know you loved it the way it was. The photos show the car now (in red), in BMW Baltic Blue (1984-2002), and in the original Kelvinator White (1967-2002).

Pretty cool that from 40-odd cars 4 were originally sold in Frankfurt and 3 of them ended up in the states.
Military connection maybe?

From the tables at the end of Fusi (data up to 1972):
Sprint GT: 19628+1354(RHD)+920(CKD) = 21902
Sprint GTC: 901+99(RHD) = 1000
Sprint GTV: 12501+1407(RHD)+332(CKD) = 14240
Sprint GTA: 450+50(RHD) = 500
1750 GTV: 36231+4738(RHD)+821(CKD) =
1750 GTV USA: 2475
GTA Junior: 447 (up to 1972)
GT 1300 Junior: 76072+2951(RHD)+1600(CKD) = 80623 (up to 1972)
2000 GTV: 16927+1396(RHD)+760(CKD) = 19083 (up to 1972)
2000 GTV USA: 1166 (up to 1972); est. 6518
GT 1600 Junior: 3609+426(RHD)+460(CKD) = 4495 (up to 1972)
The GT Juniors and 2000 GTVs were in production up to 1977, we have to esti
On page 720, Fusi quotes a final quantity of 37459 for the 2000 GTV by 1977. This is unlikely to include the US version; since we have s/n 6518 listed we can assume as many US spec 2000s were built.
Remains the GT Juniors. This has been the biggest seller, at the rate they were going I would estimate another 20,000 units (1300 and 1600 combined) over the next five years.
The total is thus: about 213,000; 105,000 of this total are Juniors.

Love such nice pictures from long ago!
A long gone friend I suppose!
Here's a crazy thought!
Imagine a magic journey in a time machine, travelling back to good ol' 1968, consulting an Alfa Romeo dealer for the purchase of a factory new 1750 GT Veloce Series1 and bring it back to 2008.
Woooooooohhhhh!
Sorry, just got carried away !

Yes, long gone friend for sure. I bought the car after seeing it at the first Montreal International Auto Show in January of 69. ($4995). That photo was taken the summer of 1969 on the Cabot Trail. I drove the car on the first date with my wife in 1970. I owned it until the county forced me to get rid of it in the late 90s even though it was too far gone to drive since the 80s. It had less than 30,000 miles on it when it was towed away

Ken.. I sat in that car at the show! It's probably where I was infected with the Alfa virus... that or the Montreal at Expo 67... but I've got cleaner memories of sitting in YOUR car!
