All posted, thank you.
Rossano, I've corrected the color.
Matt, thanks for your information the car moving to Florida. Can you not provide the new owner's name, or let him know that it's for the purpose of this register? Thanks.

1968 1750 Gtv 105.44
Dear Mister Willis,
with reference to your request we are informing you as follows.
According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 1353422 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce (105.44), manufactured on the 4th March 1968 and sold on the 8th March 1968 in Canada .
The body colour is musk green AR-209, with wild boar leather skai interiors.
Car is in rough shape, being turned into a Vintage Racer
Car is located in Calgary, AB
I'm up to 3 GTV's now....the wife isn't too impressed, I'll just have to clean the house a little more on Saturday mornings before I hit the garage.

Pat,
there seems to be a discrepancy between the SIN# plate...date shows as 9/69...(see pic below) and the reply I received from Alfastorico which gave me the date of manufacture as " 8th January 1970 ".
I think the date on the VIN# plate should be used...(I bet that the car left the factory on Jan 8, 1970). So, could you make the correction?
thanks

Rossano, I've made the change, but since we don't know the actual "day" of manufacture, the spreadsheet will just show 1st of September, 1969 as the mfg. date for now.

Thanks for correcting that Pat,
...also, there is one entry with chassis# 1357163 listed as a 105.51(US) GTV. There must be a typo somewhere since 105.51 (US) models GTVs must have chassis#'s that begin with 153xxxx. I'm pretty sure the 135xxxx GTVs were the 105.44 model (this car is very close in chassis # to Ken Lee's first GTV which is a 105.44).

Titled as a 1969
Chassis Number: AR 1530021
Date of Manufacture: manufactured on the 27th Nov. 1968
Model: 105.51
Factory Color: musk green
Location First Sold: sold on the 4th Dec. 1968 to Alfa Romeo, Newark,
Location (current): unknown - sold by me 10/72 to a (then) resident from Head of the Harbor, Long Island, NY
Special Notes: I purchased from Foreign Cars of Suffolk in Huntington, NY with approx.
40K miles 11/71 after (they did) a repaint in the factory colour - wild boar leather skai interiors.
Reason for sale - for the driving I did, I couldn't get use to the lack of low end grunt so I sold it and bought a '68 Pontiac GTO with 360hp, a 4 speed and 3.90 gears

Fellow Alfisti,
It gives me great pleasure to introduce my recent acquisition to the esteemed membership of the Alfabb.
The car has been notified to me by the Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo: Informazioni as follows ;
According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 1282438 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior (105.30), manufactured on the 5th July 1972 and sold on the 26th July 1972 in Turin, Italy.
The body colour is indigo grey (AR 735), with amaranth interiors
I have the original log book/registration document (Carta di circolazione per Autovettura) which notes the first owner having registered it on the 27th July 1972, in the name of a Mr A. Cerruti of Turin, subsequent owners listed as follows - Mr S Cavaliere, Turin from 8th March 1982, a Ms C. Lombardo 28th August 1982 also of Turin, and finally a Ms A Brooks originally from Coventry UK, but then residing in Turin on the 12th January 1985.
There then appears to be a page ( Generalita e residenza del proprietario) missing which would have listed further owners, I assume.
On page 6 entitled - Revisioni , theres a paper sticker dated 8/08/1997
On pages 8/9 entitled - Tagliandi dell'ufficio esattore, there are a number of paper stickers dated from 22nd December 1972 until the 28th december 1981, with a I assume some sort of tax payment varying from L. 32155 to 16600.
Finally a couple of other loose receipts for taxation purposes for L. 30000 in the name of the first owner for the years 1974 and 1976.
The car had spent part of its life on the Island of Elba, then made its way to a collectors garage in Florence where the English guy from whom I bought it, had a friend who knew the garage owner. They were introduced and the Englishman bought it and shipped it back to Sheffield, England in 2001. there it stayed, just doing a few miles a year until he tired of it and sold it to me in September 2008, it was finally transported across the North Channel to N Ireland last week, and on the final leg of its journey to me on Monday last!
Somewhere along the line in Italy, it was repainted (in standard Alfa Romeo red) to a high standard and I assume the interior redone too.
Currently its waiting in my garage for my mechanic to get it up and running in the spring of 2009!!
P.

Mr. P., would you like to provide me with your name (or part of it) for the GT Register's benefit? Your car's been listed on the register.

Hi Pat,
Not sure if the 115.03 qualifies?? If so then I have a 1973 GT 1600 Junior. She's medium grey metallic at the moment 'living' in the Republic of Ireland. She needs some body attention in the rear but otherwise great mechanically.
I received the following from Marco Fazio...
Thanks!
Gordon Weston

Gordon and Dirk, I have both of your cars listed.
Gordon, you'll notice that there are 4 other 1600 GT Juniors listed on the register, though it's a bit difficult to decipher right now as I've changed the sorting again, this time by manufacturing date.
We currently have 140 GTs listed. Keep them coming, and thanks for submitting!
