Joe,
Do the GTA headers offer more HP then the 2L headers you sell. I assume the GTA headers are exact replicas of the original GTA headers? Are ther GTA headers of larger diameter then the 2L ones Centerline selsl and stock 2L headers? What makes the GTA headers superior for performance over the 2L headers? Just curious as the GTA headers were originally designed for a twinspark 1600 motor.I am assuming it is the flow design of the header? Are there any diffrences between the GTA headers Centerline cells and the IMASAF ones? I was just concerned with making them fit but it seems that you detailed what is needed to make it happen. I have a few questions.
In regards to the second step "2) Heat and bend the header pipe where it curves under the chassis. This is due to the 2" difference in height between a 1600 and a 2 liter." Question: Did you have this manderal bent or does it matter? Any instrcutions or insight to give a shop on how to do this correcty? Any detail of how much you had to bend this and if it is just minimal I assume it would have no efect on the headers performance? Will the header then bolt right up to the stock center exhaust?
I have a 2L that I am thinking of putting CB47 cams This was also a Auto Delta cam in the old performance cataloughe and was used in Gp1 spec cars racing in 1970-73 in the Euro.Championship. Same AR/AD part number 115.01.03.200.32 , this is the exact same profile as the old CB47 and somewhere between Shankle's 7L and 8L profiles. It came highly recomended. for a mild street upgrade.

We had to do 2 things to make the GTA header fit a 2 liter:
1) Space the headers away from the block with 1/2" spacers (we keep them in stock)
2) Heat and bend the header pipe where it curves under the chassis. This is due to the 2" difference in height between a 1600 and a 2 liter. You may not need to bend it as much as I did if you have floor pedals.
