Congrats. The radio was dealer installed; there was no factory radio. Blaupunkts and Beckers seemed to be the most popular ones installed by the dealers at the time. My 1973's dash made it unmolested until the late 80's, when the DPO (dreaded previous owner) installed a Japanese Clarion. I just picked up a Becker Europa II off eBay and will be installing it this winter. Another option is to buy a replacement wood kit and put the dash back to original as it came off the boat in new Jersey.

FWIW, my 74 came with a Motorola from the dealer. It's on the price sheet and I have the original manual.

Aloha Jack, There is a place on the webring that specializes in old radios. Can't remember the name offhand, but check the webring and I will try to find it too when I get a chance.

I got me a Becker Monte Carlo in my Junior. However, is only plays AM/MW/LW, so it isnt really much good although it looks great. I am goint to install a Blaupunkt in the glove compartment. There is a guy in Sweden that repairs and sells old car radios - can find his email if you want. Otherwise just follow ebay - the Beckers (looks best IMHO) often pop up there.

My '72 has a dealer installed AudioVox. It's not the coolest radio, but it's been there all these years, and works fine, so I'm not going to mess with it.
