Be carefull though making a comparison between the value in Euro and USD.
That's not to say the same car would sell for $65k if it were sold on this continent..

I for one hope that this is not the signal of a new trend. There are still several Alfas I would like to own and if this continues that won't happen.

I read 42458... Judging by the other cars sold I think that figure is Dollars. If it is Euros I would expect the Atlantic to rise 2 feet by the displacement of shipments to Europe from North America and i will be the first to the quay in Baltimore.

Don't get too excited about it - note that the stated price includes the buyers premium.
Notice that the FIAT Jolly sold for nearly the same sum!
A Giulia Spider for about the same bucks as a FIAT???
And Vespas for +20K ???

Some people have too many spare dollars to spend!

I am sorry but the prices are right. Classic Driver - HOME has a couple of Giulietta Spiders for sale, one 10103.170272 is £53.2k ($100k) and is beautifully restored. The other, if my German is correct, an average Veloce with a 1600 engine is available at £29.2 ($57.5k). So Coy's price is somewhere in the middle.
If anyone feels these prices are far too high please send details of what they have to sell and what lower figure they have in mind.
