Shifter change

I'd like some feedback on the possibility of changing the column shifter on a '64 Giulia TI to a floor shifter. Is this possible?

Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike

Sorry this is late, I browse the BB irregularly.

Having a column shift in a Ti is part of the charm of the very early cars, yes you could force feed it a floor shift, that's what happened to my '57 Sprint, I've been gathering the correct bits to return the car to 4 speed column shift.

The 5 speed column shift mechanism was praised in its day, very few of them actually survive, so they are quite rare. Damien Magista has just bought one from BC.

If you are dead keen on a floor shift, I would find a later Giulia & pass the column shift car on to someone else.

My 0.02c anyway
