lil' j today!
Through trial and error, trial and success, I got to this point. Joey had a Chilean-born artist who learned bodywork from his grandfather, working on Datsuns and Alfas! This is what he told me! My car was rot free, but not straight in many areas. the bodyshop next door agreed to paint the car, without a spray booth, and they did a teriffic job. Is all this worth it? I've come to the conclusion that I'm striving to honor those who built these cars by hand and not for a lot of money in those days. Even a Ferrari Enzo doesn't have hand beaten panels. Giuliettas represent a unique epoch in Alfas' history, one that forms a transition between modern production and old world craftmen. If you enjoy them as I do then you appreciate....excellence!
View of Joey's shop, lots of oldies [Alfa].
'59 Giulietta that Tahi prepped before mine. Very intensive, months long project, original engine, [I think].
