Modifying a 750D spider to take a 5-speed
I have been an Alfa enthusiast for 30+ years, however I just bought my first Guilietta spider on Ebay. The previous owner had been turning it into a race car and bolted a 5-speed to the 1300 engine, however he did not have the time to fit the assembly to the car. Any advice as to the which engine mounts to use and how one modifies the shifter hole would be much appreciated. Also do I have to modify the drive shaft assembly?
I would like to return the car as close to factory spec as possible, however the bumpers, seats, top assembly, and side window mechanisms are missing. Any guidance toward sources for these parts would be appreciated as well.
Thanks for the help.
Richard
