On a separate note, these veloce pans sure are commanding high dollars nowadays - I bought a relatively beat-up one a few months ago (but came with oil pump) for my Sprint for $600 on ebay; I think that was a decent deal compared to more current auctions.

you guys are looking at this the wrong way, an $8K oil pan means the car (Giulietta) is worth about $100K, sounds about right to me.
