Peter, thanks for the sample. I'll see if my paint guy can do his magic and match it.
Now, does anyone have the exact measurements for the sticker? Height and width would be appreciated. I'll try to reproduce it.
Also, is there a consensus of opinion on the placement of the stickers? On the trunk lid or on the trunk firewall?

I don't have the measurements....forgot to do this before I took her to the bodyshop. Would love to have the correct sticker back!

Paint Sticker
Peter,
What color was/is your car? Did you take pictures of the sticker before it went to the shop? If someone would respond with the measurements, I'll have some made so you can replace yours, too.

Thanks! It was red, the original color, and it had the same sticker that you display in the last two pictures in the first post

Very interesting and useful.
My Giulia spider, now under restoration, is also Montecatini Rosso 95-C-9068, picture attached.
Unfortunately I also donīt have measurements....forgot to do this before I took her to the bodyshop.
From some investigation I have done it seems that it is AR-514 (AR 304) Rosso Italia P.F. - Farina Red (Signal Red) (Ditzler 72051,
DuPont 8770)
Am I right?

Paint Sticker
I have been working on building a new graphic of the sticker, but still don't know what size to make it. Anyone with measurements? Metric or US, I don't care.

Look at the picture in the first post.
There you have a couple of fingers and even better the distance between the creases in the panel. Measure that on your car and you should be close enough.

Close only counts in horseshoes and grenades, not in Alfa restorations. If I wanted "close enough" I would have bought a Miata.

Well if you want perfection then you will need to change the font to more closely match the original. "It's close but not close enough".

that's what I found when I did my investigation...can't remember the AR304 or the Ditzler code, but AR514 and the names of the red sound familiar

George, I did say I was working on it, not finished or "close enough" yet. I'm still searching for the right font.
Gordon, are those metric fingers or SAE?

Terry, sorry, just pulling your fingers. Have you contacted Bill Gilham? He makes decals for our cars ans sells them. He is a great guy and maybe he already has the decal to sell you or at the least maybe he could give you the dimensions. Bill Gilham: hooligan@proaxis.com
Cheers,
George

Decal
Funny thing! I built the graphic in Microsoft Visio, but when I converted it to a jpg file, it distorted the font. Here's a photo of the final (?) product. I have it printed on water slide decal paper like the original.
