Thank you for explaining your position. You know, these posts are just as valuable as any one takes them to be. I don't pretend to me an expert even when I am sure of myself. The bottom line is we all express ourselves for the betterment of the audience. I won't be going on a book signing tour soon and I think anyone who has read my thousands of posts understands why. My only disappointment is you failed to express your opinion without be asked to do it.

I find it immoral to turn food into motor fuel, particularly when there is no shortage of the real thing. Ethanol puts a huge demand on water resources which are being challenged in many parts of the USA, it increases the price of gasoline and would not be used if there was not a government mandate, and it it is hygroscopic which makes the fuel "go off". Ethanol in fuel is corporate welfare.

Philboncer;

Lead is bad for children whose brains are rapidly developing.
As an older child, I chomped on plenty of lead fishing weights and ate plenty of birds with lead shot in them.

I was still accepted to Harvard class of 1972, but went to Stanford.

Malaria has killed far more people than DDT. But DDT was bad for many fowl. Selective usage is now banned, but selective usage could save plenty of lives.

Please before you make broad statements, please check real, not pseudoscience.

I'm not sure what you call a "Veloce spec Giulietta 1300". If it's a standard GTJ1300 it will run fine on 98 octane RON. Same goes for standard spec 1600/1750/2000 North engines.
If the engine is tweaked it might need a higher than 98 octane like 100> octane.

It's entirely my fault for not asking my initial question correctly.
To that end, this thread has become useless.
I should have simply asked if anyone has personal experience with AV Gas.
If anyone does please send me a PM.
Thanks!
