Interesting 750 lightweight Sprint Veloce

1957 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce  for sale by Christoph Grohe - PostWar Classics

This Alfa-Romeo Giulietta is not yet to be seen on our website but will be on show during Rétromobile February 8-17 at booth nr. D40.

This Alfa Romeo was sold new in January 1957 to Mr Denis De Graffenried of La-Tour-De-Peilz in Switzerland who used it for several years as a rally car for local Swiss and Frensh races. Just before selling the car in 1967 he decided to paint it in the actual blue. The second and last owner too used the car in the Swiss championship for a few years and stored it since 1973. Today the car is a discovery ; it is a rally car in almost untouched, unrestored condition which had only two owners from new and was not used for the last 35 years. The car is in rather sound condition but needs total restoration. With the car are coming : - Original Certificate of Alfa-Romeo dated 1957, - Original sales invoice signed by famous Toulo De Graffenried, - Original Swiss customs document of 1957 and title of 1967. – Original owners manual dated 1956.

I saw the car yesterday in Retromobile. It is in original state but with a lot of work to do as it seems to be a non runner.
It is already sold !

Modified lower valance isn't. The aluminium shapes normally covered the irons supporting the bumpers.
