Hard to beleave. But used V. alum. and old chevy truck rubber mounts. It took for ever to figure out th fit ect.
I am interested in all the moder R&R stuff you guys are doing now.
'The Old chevy rubber is much stiffer so it was great for racing as the motor did not rock much... Now I enjoy my Sprint as a street driver more miles than track time car.
So I would like something softer as whats being said here.
The old Chevy Mounts let in a lot of vibration due to there stiffness..
Great fit.. nice and low but still room for the Carbs.
Because its Sprint I can not get the hood open far to get the other shots.

Hello
Now I have had some time to try and get everything into place, with new Centerline mounts and some shims I got everything into place :-).
I have a 10-12 mm clerance between dynamo and steeringbox, I have clerance between crossmember and pully, exhaust manifoild is close but there is clearence, I will possibly modify the manifoild buy heating it up a bit and gently make a small dent into it to get slightly more clearence.
A new used pully is on its way frome The States, the sun is shining here and everything looks greate!! :-)
I will take some more photos and post later on.
I have bought a driveline shafte on Ebay from a member called Alfa barn.
The only thing I now need is the clutch realese arm from the back of the pedal an all the way to the gearbox, giv me a hint if anyone of you have and want to sell.
Regards
Tacconi

What is it that you need?
Is it the rod with links at each end?
If it is, I may be able to make/modify one for you. If it's the same as on the Giulia Spider I have the parts to model after. I need to make a new rod for myself if I don't convert to hydraulic, as mine looks as if it was run over by a truck.

Hey,

How did you connect that Denso Alternator (electrical wires)?
You still keep the original regulator ! ?
The original dynamo has one thick(to starter) and one thin for the regulator.
The Jap-type Denso has one more thin wire, where do they go ?

groetjes,
lex

You can just make out the red crossmember in the picture below. Gordon's may be thinking of a 105 chassis, where the pulley is behind the crossmember, or perhaps his SS is different from your Sprint. The clearance between the rear of your block and the firewall looks correct as well.

The alternator in your picture looks big to me. The mounting tab is some distance below the centerline of the pulley. Take a look at the Denso alternator pictured in my thread about alternator conversions, as well as in the photos below - it is much more compact. I'm sorry that I don't have a part number for this alternator.

Alfa used the same generators on the 101's as on the 105's. So yes, a generator from a 1300 GT Jr. would be the same as the one that originally came with your car. If you can even borrow one, try mounting it, and see if it will clear - from your photos, it looks like it will. The small Denso alternator basicly fits into the same space (although it doesn't extend back as far; ie., an alternator is shorter than a generator).

Here are a couple of pictures of my car - unfortunately with the radiator in place, it is difficult to show the area that you are interested in.

Hope that helps!

Hello
I did use the orginal, not the Denso.
As I can recall the denso have the regulator inside, and the thick wire is + to the alternator, the thin wire is for warning light.

Lex:

I wrote a L O N G posting about alternators and 750/101's a little over a year ago. Find my post started on March 12, 2007, titled "Installing an Alternator in a 750/101", and it will answer your questions.
