Question Recommendations on purchasing 1963 Spider ?? ( more details in post )

Hello,
I am a first time poster, first time Alfa owner, but long time Alfisti.

I have desired a red Giulietta spider for a long time, and have finally found one that may fit in my budget.

Located in Colorado, its a 1963 Spider. I have asked the owner for more details which I am awaiting a response.

Here's what I can tell from the images:
Door panel gaps look good.
Hood and decklid both have larger gaps on one side than other. I suppose I can attribute that to hinge wear.
Underside shot of passenger sill seems straight, looks like there may be some minimal corrosion/rust at the bottom of outside flange.
Engine compartment appears clean.
Interior looks original with just time wear.
Trunk looks pretty good, some corrosion, near battery.
Paint/chrome look good.

What should I look for? Any specific questions/pictures I should ask?

Thank you fellow Alfisti.
-RG

Check out the areas I have circled...

It's hard to see with the white out of the light, but it appears the paint is peeled off the outer flange.

spider

Is it really a 63? That should make it a Giulia 1600-yet it has a 1300 front hood. The car was originally graphite-engine compartment dash and inner doors are still this way and that came with red interior some of which can also be seen-what kind of car do you seek-correcting these items can be expensive-you have a double-header-paint and interior aside from any mechanical issues. Fred.

Wink Just want to enjoy the design....

Thanks for your review of the images. In response to your question " What kind of car I am looking for?" my objective is a shiny, nice-looking, pleasure driver. I'd love to take part in an Italian car show/meet, but am not looking to win any trophies or have a numbers-matching historically correct car. I am more interested in owning the car because of its design. As long as it starts, drives, ( and stops ) and the appearance looks good, I dont care if its absolutely correct.

The location and brand (Lucas) of the voltage regulator indicates this car is a Giulietta, for which production ceased in mid '62. That this car is listed as a '63 probably means that was the year it was sold (rather than manufactured). I have a '62 Giulietta Spider that was originally registered as a '63 Giulia.

I went and looked at a '59 Giulietta Spider (750D) being sold by the original owner. She told me the dealer at the time offered to title it as a '60 for an extra $100. She passed, but maybe it was common practice then.
