Factory hardtop for a 1963 Giulia Spider

For the last twenty years I've kept a Pininfarina hardtop in storage because the molded plastic rear window is completely fogged, the mouldings are dried out, liner raggedy etc. and it's hot in georgia.

Two questions:
How rare is this piece? It distinctly bears a metal Pininfarina tag and may even have a part number on it.

How can I replace the rear window which is curved? I'm sure technology has caught up allowing somebody to remanufacture even as a one-off

thanks

Vince,
Don't know if this will help you or not since I've never seen a hardtop for that early a model, but this is the company that makes the hardtops that IAP sells. Maybe you can see if they are similar.
Good Luck!

Hi Vince,

The original Pininfarina steel hardtop is quite rare (and valuable). You might search thru ebay to get an idea of current values (they rarely come up for sale though).

Regarding the rear window, if you can find a company that makes plexiglas windshields for aircraft or race cars, they can probably reproduce it for you. They will need your original window, or a pattern.

David:
Thanks a million for your guidance.

I personally have never seen another Pininfarina top in all these years.

What I guess I'll do is carefully remove the rear window then take it around and find someone to reproduce it.

Best,
Vince Coppola
