There is a perfect '58 750 in my friend Al's shop just down the street. Patrick has the Sn and photo's somewhere in here. It's Tommy Trabue's car. Tommy is NOT interested in offers. ( I should have bought that one myself! ) Here it is with my '65 Ausca spider.

Bumper overriders
Gordon,
I just noticed that your Spider does not have front bumper overriders. Were they replaced with the fog lamps? Funny thing is that my original '65 Veloce had neither overriders nor fog lamps. Weird, huh? Has anyone else seen that before?
These photos were taken in 1969.

Mine were replaced with the fog lamps. I have a very rusted RT front bumper in my attic with no overrider hole. It appears that before it was plated, the punched hole was welded up, as the remains of chrome cover the patch on the inside (lumpy). From the condition of this bumper, it was like that when first plated.

Gordon`s Transition Veloce Head Rebuild
Gordon, I got the cracks welded up in your head but I don`t think the valves can be saved but I will try. The cam followers have to go! I`ll give you some used ones

Yo RJ, Great weld! Those valves and followers are fine! A little acid will clean them right up. Guess it was cold there huh? Don't remember that crack all along the top being quite that long. Probably the water you left in there overnight for the leak test froze huh? Well no matter. A little die grinding and sand blasting and that sucker will be better than new!
BTW: How much rod did you use? You were careful to avoid those bubbles we talked about? Now DON'T MILL IT. It's probably flatter than my block now.

Pat,
Here are the details on my spider for the register: 1957 Giulietta spider 750D, serial number AR1495*01864*, manufactured on April 26, 1957, color AR301 Celeste, delivered to Hoffman Motor. Raced in San Francisco Region SCCA 1964-1972. Still in SF, currently vintage racing in the area, race number 58. I believe I am the fourth owner from new.
Cheers,
Sid Gage

Hi Sid! Great to see you here. I'll add your very-familiar car to the register right away.
I noted that there's a white Veloce that was built on the same day as your car - first time we have two cars sharing the same birthday on these registers, I believe.
