Gordon,

Nobody can hold a candle to you in the helpfulness department! You must have checked out the pictures of Larry's car. It's an awesome original Veloce. Larry has been very helpful and I've also helped him source some parts, too.

I did hear from another guy who has had his Alfa from new. I thought I sent you an email about him, didn't I? My memory is good, but getting shorter all the time!

We all get to the point of suffering CRS eventually. The problem with owning a 60's vintage car from new is the tendency to make one agism challenged." Where's my keys? Heck, where's the car?" Humm?

Terry,
Just in case Larry does not know, the Madison Smith dealer tag on the trunk lid indicates that the Spider was also originally purchased in Nashville. Sadly, Madison Smith has long since morphed into a non-Alfa business site. I remember buying parts there for my first Spider in the early 70's, and their service manager (Joe Moreno) raced a white Giulia SS at Daytona (or was it Sebring?). Thanks for the pix of a time capsule.
Jim

I've been so busy moving from old to new house I don't know what's going on! I'm still working on my '63, folks! Don't give up on me just yet. If it doesn't run this year I'm selling it!

Hi Dirk, I've added your car. Strangely enough, my car was built in Jan. '63, yet boasts a later chassis number than yours.

It's not up to me to make this thread a "sticky"; you'll need to make that suggestion to Simon, the moderator:smestas.

Please add the following to the registry: 1962 Giulietta Spider - White/Black interior

According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 170285 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, manufactured on the 27th June 1961 and sold on the 3rd August 1961 to Hoffman Motor Car Co., New York, U.S.A.

The body colour is white, with black or red interiors.

Car is currently located in Detroit, MI.

Pat,

I don't see Larry Benson's 390277 Veloce on the register yet. I know you have been busy- just a reminder. See post #224.

Patrick , thanks for pointing that out, I made a mistake by giving you the chassis number of my Sprint Veloce. The correct chassis number of the Spider Normale is 376471. That puts me back in sequence ! My apologies.

Notice how no one except Patrick questioned this anomaly! With Alfas about anything is possible, Dirk.

Dirk,

I don't seem to have your Sprint's information on the Sprint register; would you like to provide me with that? Thanks!
