Dear Mister Konzelmann,

with reference to your request we are informing you as follows.

According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 391006 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Veloce (101.18), engine series AR 00121, manufactured on the 15th July 1965 and sold on the 25th March 1966 in Wien.

The body colour is red, with black interiors.

As an aside, the car is from the Dayton area, and the seller says that the pilots returning from European service to Wright-Patterson brought a lot of Alfas back with them. This would appear to be one of those cars.... It also looks like it took a long time to ship from Alfa to Vienna, or to sell once it got there. Dan

I hope to have the Storico info by tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience...surface rust can be confusing. Dan

Notes on my newly acquired Spider:

From Marco Fazio:

According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 1495.09805 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, manufactured on the 2nd May 1960 and sold on the 10th May 1960 to Hoffman Motor Car Co., New York, U.S.A.

The body colour is white, with red or black interiors.

The car is now a lovely Alfa Red, with no signs of the original white remaining. Will be traveling to its new home in Herndon VA shortly.
