Interior Colour combinations for 1964 Sprint GT

We have searched - honest - to try to find what colour combinations were available in 1964 for our Sprint GT. According to an email from Alfa Romeo, it was orginally Bluette with a blue interior delivered to Adelaide Australia. But some specialists we have spoken to have said that there were no blue interiors in 1964.

It is currently white with a (pretty tatty) tan interior. We are trying to decide what colour combination to get it restored to - and the current thinking is to stay a 1964 white on the outside

Any help much appreciated.

Not sure about the 64's but here's a picture of a totally original 63 Giulia Sprint with blue/blue color combo.

I like that a lot!! I am guessing that in early '64 (it was made in February) they had some of those seats around the place!

I think that you could specify any combination of colours if you were prepared to wait long enough. I've never seen a solid blue interior, but some early cars I've seen did have dark blue seats with a pale grey cloth insert. I've got a photo somewhere, but the same photo can be found in the gallery section of the Classic Alfa (UK) website.

Alex, yes we've found that pic in Classic Alfa's gallery. So I guess that if the Australian dealer asked for it, the car could have been blue and blue.

Now all we have to do is decide (and that may depend on what colour replacement parts - door cards seem rare in anything except black and possibly tan - we can find!!)

Alfaholics have a bluette/pale grey rear seat section for an early Sprint GT here. The photo on the website is poor, however, but maybe if you email Max or Richard directly and ask really nicely, they might take a better picture of it for you. People usually recommend Re-Originals in the US for correct interior trim, but they can be expensive. Also consider Cicognani and Elvezio Esposito in Italy. I also believe there is a very good carpet supplier somewhere in Australia whose name escapes me at the moment. The early armrests are completely unavailable unless you have a verrry lucky find on eBay. Good luck ...
