I hope a lot of viewers read this thread, George and Bob. As you both know I bought my Giulia new 43+ years ago. At that time, I felt is was the best of the new under 2L spiders available in the world. Now it is still the best under 2L vintage ride. I still love driving this car. As Bob knows, I've had some very interesting automobiles, including quite a few Ferrari's. I've kept the two that offered the most communication with the driver, and thus the most enjoyable. The Ausca Giulia spider, and my '65 275 GTB Ferrari, oddly both cars have build sheets about a week apart. The Spider Veloce, bought new, remains unrestored, the 275 bought used in late '70 has had 2 ground up restorations. Both great drives. Just my opinion.

When I was a young guy, my father advised me that while girl friends weren't hard to replace, " A good car, is hard to find!" I've had a lot of Alfas, a few Ferraris, and a bunch of real interesting American iron, but the good ones, like the Ausca Spider and the 275GTB, can never be replaced!

Door Seals
Today I cleaned up the Giulietta after yesterdays drive and thought I would hose off the dust and fender crud. Just a light spray mind you. First thing I noticed when finished was the puddles on the floor rubber mats. Seems I am missing some front door seals. Currently I have the door seal that goes around the lip in the door edge - around the back and under the bottom of the door. I also have the seal mounted on the stamped steel plate that screws to the inside front door sills. I have been told there is also some other seals that fit the front of the door and the channel inside the top rain gutter of the front sill. Does anyone have information on either of these seals? Photos would also be great.
Cheers,
George

Hi George,
I've a crazy day tomorrow, but at some point I'll be moving my Alfa around to get a customers car in my shop (at 18 degrees in the snow!). That will give me an opportunity to get the pictures you need. Should have them for you by tomorrow night.

George
In living in the village near the rain forest we get a lot of experience with precip.
Including washing the car with a gentle stream of hose water.
Ooops, to your subject--if the drips are close to the center of the floor mat-- it could be from the gasket between the windshield wiper bezel and the cowl.

Attached below are some photos of the door seals I am missing (courtsy of Gordon Raymond). One looks like it has a plate attaching it to the top of the door drain. Does anyone know where one could find these rubber seals. AlfaStop, Centerline etc are a no go. Has anyone purchased any of these seals and where?
Cheers,
George

George,
I purchased the seal that fits beneath the rectangular chromed strip on the top front edge of the door in July, '07 from Alfa Stop. Tony referred to the seal as a "Spider door front upper weatherstrip", and the price then was 3 lb. St. Maybe Alfa Stop is temporarily out of stock? I have not seen the seal anywhere else.
Good luck,
Jim

Thanks Gordon, Jim. I just sent an email to Christian at OK Parts and will see what becomes of it. I didn't see the seals listed on the AlfaStop online catalog so I just assumed Tony didn't stock it. I will contact Tony as well and ask him about the seals.
Thanks guys,
George

George,
I think that Alfa Stop may still carry the seal. On Tony's website, it is part number 101.03.62.130.00/02 (assuming I copied the number correctly ). There is no picture of the seal, but I'm sure this is the part I ordered last summer. It's listed in the "bodywork" section for 101 Giulias
(not sure if it's also in the Giulietta or 750 sections). I hope this helps.
Jim

George,
OKP stocks these small door seals for Spider, part # AR 60 026 010. If you order them, tell them to ship them with Deutche Post, otherwise they will ship with DHL which is 3x that expensive, appr. 23 euro (and it was within Europe).
