Well, I must be loosing it. I could have sworn I posted the drawing I did for the drain plug wrench on this thread. But, I did post it on my another thread (Giulietta Tool Roll). A=It also has more info about the other tools in my roll.
Really nice work, George! Any secret sources for the new wiring loom or is that a secret? I would think anyone who has a car that Keith Martin "has not seen better" would want to know who supplied the wiring since it is left off of your credit list. Richard J. Lesniewicz
Thanks for pointing out that I don't have Lionel listed in my credits. I will make the change. He makes an excellent product, though at $1100 not cheap.
I have a question about the steering wheel flasher circuit on my Giulietta. If I push the steering wheel center button (the light flasher) with the lights off, the lights flash. If I push it with the lights on, low beam, the lights don't flash. With the high beam on they do flash. Is this the way they are supposed to work? Is this correct?
I get the same results. I think the flasher is just another switch for the low beams, so with lights off, the flasher lights the low beams. With low beams on the flasher has no effect since the low beams are already on. With high beams on the flasher adds in the low beams.
For instrument repair and/or restoration , I would recommend you contact Margaret Lucas at Mo Ma Manufacturing in Alberquerque, New Mexico. Web site is Mo Ma Manufacturing I think. Did my 330 GTC gauges and my MGA gauges.
George, I believe that the button is supposed to flash the high beams. The Italians use that fuction to let everyone know that they are approching a cross intersection and doing it at a high speed. At least that is what they did in Naples and the surrounding area back in the late fifties, early sixties.
Ciao.
That is my understanding too Pat. Does your '65 work that way? Mine does.

That's what I thought too, but if you look at the wiring diagram the gray wire in the low beam circuit does not connect to the green wire hi-beam circuit.

Sorry, I don't understand your information about gauges. My gauges are finished!
George, unfortunately my '65 Giulia is in mid transmission rebuild mode with the electrical system unpowered. We need another un-restored Giulietta as a test sample. Did you try Lionel V. as yet?
Seems to me, my flasher is high beam, but maybe not "ONLY". What I'm saying is tht with lights off, the flasher activates high beam. With lights on low beam, it activates high beam so BOTH elements are on at once. If high beam is on, the low beam element is off? I'm not sure and can't test right now, but it seems that if only the high beam element is on, then it activates the low beam element as well so both elements are on.
That said, I've only owned this particular car for about 43 years and have never paid this much attention. I could easily be WAY WRONG. Best ask Lionel!

I will give Lionel a try. Here is the wiring diagram for my car. Note the separation of the two circuits, (steering wheel button is not connected to the hi-beam.
