Fuel leak from a Giulietta spider fuel pump

Hello. I hope I will be able to explain my problem with my poor english... Yesterday I went to help a friend to "resuscitate" a 1959 Giulietta Spider after two years of sleeping. All right, the engine did start easily BUT from the mechanical fuel pump there is a leakage of fuel. I think that in time some gasket got dry, and this is the reason of the leak, but I'm not very sure about it. Does someone knows what the problem could be? Do I have to replace the pump, or is only a gasket problem? The leak comes from the body of the pump, not from the pipes... Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
Ciao
Antonio

part two, the day after...

Here I am again. After one day, I have tried to start the engine. I did tighten the five screws of the pump membrane and the two on the top. Everything now looks OK, no leaks. Perhaps it was only a problem of dry gaskets. But to feel safe, I would like to change all the gaskets and the membrane of the pump. Can you tell me if they are available as spare parts, or I have to buy a new pump? thank you again
A.

The diaphram or a pump kit for the early head mounted pump is available from www.reoriginals.com in the US. Pretty pricey though. There's one thing you might want to try first since it's worked for me on a few occaisions. Disassemble the pump and very carefully inspect the diaphram for holes or cracks. If there aren't any, clean the up the pump and assemble the diaphram with a very small amout of grease on both pump halfs. The grease will act as a gasket sealer.

Thank you papajam, I solved my problem. I have found a new diaphragm at www.heinbrand.com, very very cheaper than Re-originals (only 29 euros). Now all is working fine!
ciao
