Alfa provided these attachment points, but not the actual seat belts. The "hub" that is welded thru the floor is threaded for a M-10 fastener. I hope this is helpful to someone.

My Veloce is 390778 and has the same set up. It came with race style lap belts and hook eyes installed in the reinforced holes .

Alfa Seat belts?
"My Veloce is 390778 and has the same set up. It came with race style lap belts and hook eyes installed in the reinforced holes"
Gordon,
Your description could match my seat belts, & I am wondering if my belts actually came with the car(?) I am the second owner, and the first owner told me that the belts were added. Perhaps only the hook eyes were furnished(?) How do your belts & hook eyes compare to these?
Thanks,

Gordon,
What is your take on why some Veloce's had the installation for seat belts and other cars didn't? My Veloce was a Euro Veloce and had the Klippan metal to metal seat belts, but most Spider Veloce's didn't have seat belts at all and nothing to indicate that you could even install any. Now here are two cars with factory mounts. Hmmm.

Factory Giulia Veloce lap belts
Don & Chris,
Don's ends that fasten the belt to the chassis are identical to mine. My eye bolt is round on top as Don's appears more flattened. The clip through the bolt eye is also identical. The latch assembly on mine, is however, the "Latch & Link" race style like American Simpson, or Ferrari uses. The about 3 inch wide belt has no makers name. This assembly has been in the car since I purchased it new, from Knauz Continental in late December of '65. As I have mentioned in other threads, this car also has thinner gauge steel in the front end as compared to the rest of the body. Chris, as my car was delivered with a shipment of Duetto's to Knauz, and Bill K. was not expecting any more Giulia's, Bill felt, at the time, that the car was for competition in europe. I have no idea if this was the case, but, as you know, Horst Kwech felt it a good candidate for an Ausca spider. As this is still a one owner car, I know the seat belt addition was indeed factory, and the mounts are identical to Don's. Perhaps a reader of the BB in europe may have a late numbered Giulia Veloce, unmodified, with the same feature? Nice to know there is at least ONE other like mine! Gordon Raymond

Seat Belt Mounts
My Veloce, AR390381, also has the mounting holes in the floor.

65 Veloce Factory lap belts
I am trying( ) to attach some photos of the lap belts and mounts that are in my above mentioned spider. This is an unrestored car, I have been the only owner, and this is the way it was delivered to Knauz Continental Motors and then to me. Gordon Raymond

Gordon
The belts on my 62 are the standard rather than competition type, and are looking real old. They have been secured to the mounting point by a bolt.
So far as I can learn, unless intended for racing the Spiders came with the mounts but not the belts, and prolly nylon webbing was then installed.
I've been thinking of, if not vintage--it would be retro--using olive drab cotton duck webbing.

Hi Bob,
The cotton webbing would be soft and comfortable, but you would have to replace it periodically to be sure it remains strong. Dons lap belts are much like mine, but with non race ends. I like those . Probably easier for a non initiated passenger to figure out . Gordon Raymond

Lap Belts
Gordon,
Those belts pictured are the old military type belts that we all used back then. If I was going to be picky about them, I would say " You are missing the cotter pin in the snaps to make them pass techinical inspection" but we are among friends and I do like your pictures.
Regards,
pat

As was suggested by Chris, It may be that Simpson could make up a set . I can provide dimensions to go with the photos .

I would be leary of using old military surplus. It might look good and function well, but in a crash it might separate at the stitching. The govt. rotates this stock out of aircraft and sells it surplus. If you can get Simpson to make up a new set you can be rest assured that it is up to race quality.
