George is correct. The car has been previously repaired several times. Greig gave me some good leads, as did others, for parts. I have many business contacts in Italy so I will try them Monday.

The company is called Longwood Metal Finishing in Deering, NH. Steve Holdner is the fellow I am dealing with.
The bodyshop I am using has worked with them before with good results.

I should probably get this thread moved to the restoration section but until then;
Photos of the car now back from media blasting and at the body shop. It has a coat of primer to keep it from rusting (further). The sides are better than originally thought but the right front fender is horrible! I am looking for sheet metal.

Hi David,
Here's a picture of a NOS Giulietta Spider front panel that I'll be selling for a friend. As you can see, the grill openings, curves and headlights are significantly different between the Bertone Sprint and the Pininfarina Spider so as Greig said, forget it. Good luck in your search/repair and keep us posted. Can anyone tell me if I've got a 750 or a 101 Spider front here?

I think that the front clips are the same for 750/101s, no?

I spent some time with a hammer and dolly and got the nose in reasonable shape. I am waiting for a right front fender from Anacortes, WA.

Sprint front fender
Cstlhn,
Would there be a left front Sprint fender in good condition in Anacortes, WA for sale as well? I´m interested in that case.

Dennis,
The photos I was sent only include a r/f fender from a Sprint that was totaled. It was the only salvagable part on the car. I do know know of a car in Massachusetts but have not been able to convince the owner to sell it and it is rusting fast.
Andrew,
Thanks for the compliment. There is about 6 hours work there and if I was a Pro the boss would have canned me for taking so much time. I found it relaxing and it was great fun to watch it take shape, that is what hobbies are supposed to do. I plan to post more photos of the project as it progresses.

Hi cstlhn
Great work, well done. The trick is to shape the sheet metal to fit the trim & not try to bend the trim to fit the sheet metal as the trim kinks & is next-to-near-impossible to repair..... or very expensive.
The Sprints got a very thin "U" shaped rubber around the centre grille, it hides a multitude of sins at the trim to body joint. In contrast, the eyebrows were fitted metal to metal.
I did buy enough "U" rubber to do all the trim on my car - personal preference.
Keep those repair pictures coming.
Ciao
Greig
