I'd like to add my Sprint (1493-07493) to the list. She does not have her original motor or transmission, now has a 1300 jr from a 105 series with a 5 speed. I believe the original color was celeste.

Hi Dave, thanks for adding your car. Do you have a build date? How did it end up sporting a GT Jr. engine?

I don't have the info from Alfa for her. I should try and get it. She was vintage raced through the 80's by Hans Sipma in Vancouver, BC. The original engine block is the base of a coffee table in his house. He did all the restoration work in 88 and 89 I think. I do have extensive pictures from that. I adopted her in September 2002. One last look.

Emmo, when you next open the hood of your Sprint the I.D. plate should show the Motore number just below the chassis (Telaio) number. The Bertone body number should be visible just above the I.D. plate on the vertical surface just below the hood level. I could drop by and ask Hans Sipma what the engine block number is under his table; I am pretty sure that was the original motor.

Just a thought. Why don't you buy a correct scrap block, prepare it and offer it, and lubrication if necessary ,to Hans Sipma in exchange for the original block supporting his coffee table?

I am new to the group and would like to add my GT1300JR to the list. I just got the original info on the car today. GT1300 JR #AR1290844 Type 105.31 RHD Built Mar 29 1968 Original color bluette, red interior. A little history on my part in this car: I bought it in 1988 in Sydney Australia, it had been sort of restored, and is now Red. For some reason the title shows it to be a 1964 model. I shipped it back to the US (South Carolina in 1992 and enjoy driving it regularly along with my 73 200 Spider. I intend to restore it as soon as i finish the restoration of my 62 Giulia Spider.

I've had a nasty itch for a 1750 gtv to add to my collection, but now I have to look for a sprint instead. My wife is going to kill me, but at least I'll die with a smile on my face. Beautiful car and nice shots too!
PS: Looks like your sprint has one additional horse than came stock back when it was sold!

Dennis, unfortunately this is a register for 750/101 Sprints only, so I won't be adding your GT Junior to the list. There is a registry for 1750 GTVs on the BB, but I'm not aware of a GT Jr. counterpart.
On the other hand, I'd happily add your '62 Spider to the Spider registry.
Welcome to the BB, though!

That rusty Sprint Veloce is one of a run of 149 Sprint Veloce Confortevole's made with conventional frameless wind up windows, the first 50 had framed wind-up windows making 199 in total. They came just after the lightweights & just before the change to the new 101 style nose & tail lights.
It's a rare car, in this case it's a Rust-oration project, be interesting to see what it closes out at.
Ciao
