Marco,

That's a great idea - I tried it earlier but gave up as I just didn't have that much time to be trolling these pages for people's car photos; however, I'm willing to try it again with your help! All I need is for each owner to post a photo of his/her car in the 750/101 Photo thread, and I'll add a link to that post in the car's registry entry. Folks that already have a photo posted (on the BB or elsewhere), please advise BB thread/post #, or link to site outside of BB.

How does that sound to everybody?

I had to add a few more pictures because these wheels, destined for the SS, really transformed the car. Looks quite capable now, almost a tough.

Matt, where are you keeping all these cars?! Some garage space you've got.

Nice stance - what kind of sport suspension's under there, or is it just sagging springs?

I share 4200 sqft with a group classic car enthusiasts. It has taken a while but we've gotten the shop really set up with the kind of tools that are not practical for the home garage. I've been spending an hour or two every day after work there.

Definitely not sagging springs, when I jack a corner up to work on it the wheel at that corner barely moves. Sport springs, Konis, some sort of 3 piston caliper disk brakes, I'm just beginning to figure it all out.

Dear Matt Alfasoon,
Nice to have seen the white Giulietta Sprint Veloce today. Your car is 7 numbers off of that of Miles Collier's white '58 SV transition, his engine s/n is 1315*31510, that should give you a hint!
Cheers,
Laurence

Laurence,

I looked over the Veloce Register that is finally back up and I have come to the conclusion that without the build plate or a definitive statement from the archives 1315 31573 is about as good as I can do engine-wise. All I need now is a grocery list of parts and a sack of money and viola! the car will be as Busso intended.

As I made my way to the coffee shop this morning at six am I hit a bump and the passenger-side headlamp got bright and stayed bright for a few minutes. Time to clean all the grounds.

I ordered a headliner from Re-originals this morning, they said they had to get it made and it would take 2 - 4 weeks. Hopefully they can keep this schedule.

Car does look a lot better on the new wheels there is no doubt.
Are you contemplating putting in the headlining yourself? If so, you will need two friends to pull and push and about 20 bulldog clips for temporary holding and a steamer.....oh, and a full day! Its getting the creases out that takes the time.
If there is a possibility of getting a professional in to do that...money well spent. I found out the hard way.

I hope it's ok to take up space in this thread chit-chatting about my car... I suppose I could start another thread. We'll see.

My red Sprint has a headliner that was installed by the PO and it looks really good, better than some Pro jobs I've seen. It makes me think I can do it myself -with help as you mention. I was thinking a week or two stretched out and clamped, but not glued would help it relax. Force me to get back on the SS for a while.

What are these bulldog clips you mention? I was thinking clothes pins or binder clips to hold it in place...

Bulldog clips are superior metallic clothes pegs if you like, but the real point is that it is like wrestling with spaghetti. As soon as one point is fixed an other is not, an so it goes round and round. The steamer is invaluable in getting rid of creases which inevitably. occur. May I wish you the best of luck!

Talking Sprint arrived!!

Happy to say Dad's old '62 1/2 Sprint arrived today and is safely in the garage. Stored since 1978, still has the original carpet and mats, although they are badly worn. This is going to be fun!!!

Pictures soon, to embarrassed to show it in it's current state.

Did you have to use spacers on the front for your wheels? If Not any thing you had to do. I have 8mm hub centric spacers on my Sprint to fit these wheels. A Buddie just grinded away at his upper arm ball joint where thay rub.
What did you do with the wheels your Sprint came with? Want to sell them?
Thanks another Oakland SV Owner
