Thanks. Originally sold in Italy (Milan 22 Feb 1961 - reg 158380 FO )then imported to the UK in1971. I bought it in the mid 90s and I think it had been off the road since ~1972. Finished fixing the body and got it painted just before we returned to NZ in 2005. A couple of house moves later and it's (almost) there. Now to get started on those berlinas!

mud
No, that's genuine New Mexico red clay. Deposited on my car by an oncoming 4X4 as we (my wife and I) were speeding down an unpaved mountain road!
Luckily, it washed all the bugs off of my car

Now THIS is a color I wouldn't mind painting my Sprint! It's so James Bond "GT", eh?

Lots of and very nice photos of Giuliettas on the 11-City Giulietta Tour in the Netherlands, at this link (there are four pages - links near the bottom of each page):

Giulietta Swing 2007
We had 15 Giuliettas signed up, but only 5 made it - still not bad! Of the five, three were black Spiders (each with a different displacement engine: 1300, 1750, 2000cc) - how rare is that?! A few pictures for your enjoyment.

And a few more. The last two pictures were taken at the Quail Lodge, where its Events Director Mathias Doutreleau invited us over for some much-needed coffee and tea after a long drive from Pinnacles (eastern side). The entire trip, including the last leg back to Santa Cruz, was 250 miles.
We'll be planning another one next Spring - a run in the East Bay or North Bay, into Sonoma. Join us in your Giulietta if you can! I'm hoping that my Spider will be finished by then.

Nice! And great to see that you had another classic with you - the Giulia Super! As Pat Braden says in the caption to his pic on page 21 of Alfa Romeo Owner's Bible, referring to his Giulietta Sprint and Giulia saloon, 'pehaps the best pair of postwar Alfas offered'.

Did you guys have the Ovlov sedan (rear car in pic 2) as a backup in case a Giulietta died en route?

The Volvo was not part of our entourage. We needed no support vehicles, since everyone (except me) was practically a Giulietta specialist, and came nicely equipped with tools and whatnot. We did have to stop by an auto parts store to pick up a brake-bleeding kit, though (first picture).
Here's a LINK to the rest of the photos I took.

Thanks Pat, looks like you chose good Alfa roads with plenty of sweepers and ups & downs - can't understand why more Giuliettafisti didn't join you.
I notice the Giulia was a TI rather than a Super, so it was appropriate company, given that many of the early ones had their fair share of 101 bits.
