Upward it is then.
Regarding windshields, Dennis, I'm currently checking with Alfastop, and if that fails, will try your recommendation. $290 is a great deal cheaper than what's being asked here in the U.S. If your supplier's staying with the price, we may still come in lower than U.S. suppliers after adding freight from Europe to U.S. West Coast.

Patrick, write to him and you´ll see what´s on the table, it doesn´t cost anything and you´re not binding yourself eather.
P.S. You can refer to me, Dennis in Malmö.

Pat,
I stand corrected. My feeble brain could not dredge up the proper configuration and I didn't feel like taking the blasted thing apart. Waffles up!

I'm in the process of writing him, though I only see the Giulietta windshield listed... are these interchangeable with my Giulia's? I get the feeling that it's a "yes".

A side-note: I meet the kindest and most self-less folks here on the BB, and I just feel that it's truly, truly amazing. Thank you.

Windshield
Pat,
It's a long shot, but I got mine from ProSource Glass. You could give Richard a call, he has them now and then. He's not far from me in Massachusetts:

email:richardt@prosourceglassintl.com
Do a search and you will be some old posts by him regarding windshields.

Patrick, you will have to ask him concerning the interchangeability Giulietta/Giulia Spider windshields, I think they are, but am not 100% sure. He´s got catalogues for that. I bought the windshield for my 1600 Giulia Spider from him under same circumstances as well.

Do all dual-carb. cars require the little glass-bottled fuel regulator/filter that nestles by the coil? Solex cars don't seem to have one... I'm converting my car to dual Webers, so I'd better find out from you guys before I get there.
Dennis, I e-mailed Mikael, but haven't heard yet - I'll give him a few days.
Terry, I'll also give Richard a call to see what he has available; thanks.

Frb-11
Patrick,
That's a FISPA FRB-11 pressure regulator . They show up from time to time on E-Bay, though a BB'er may have a spare. Plan to spend $50-!00 dependent on condition. I used to assemble these from junk parts, with new neoprene diaphragms, available from Goeff Ohland. He also has the filter and gasket, as the FRB-11 is a Ferrari regulator as well. Ferrari FRB-11's bring 2-3 times the money as Alfa ones although they are IDENTICAL ! Go figgure . Ferrari restorers like to pay more? They also pay more for the Carello front turn indicator/parking lights. ALSO IDENTICAL . The restorable FRB-11's may be hard to come by, see if Centerline has a substitute. Though called a pressure regulator, the real purpose of the device is to smooth out the fuel pulses, to avoid the float needle pounding a tiny dent in the Weber float arm . Floats with the tiny dished dent are difficult to adjust properly, and if the little ding is deep enough, can cause the floats to bind . Does this help? Gordon Raymond

Patrick, I forgot to tell you, he is often underway around the country, distributing the windshields and maybe some other items as well, give him some days.

Location of back-up switch
Hi to everyone. I have been tracking this thread for some time as I restore my 60 Veloce; see the following link for some additional info and photos about my restoration: My Veloce restoration nearing completion.
Patrick and I have been in contact for various reasons over the past few mounts concerning our projects.
I now have the engine in and have discovered I don't have a back-up switch for the transmission. Hell, I don't even know where it goes. Could someone enlighten me as to it's location and where I might find one?
All help appreciated.
Oh, and nice work on the '63 Patrick. It's coming along nicely.
George

Hi George! Had no idea that black beauty was your car and you posting!
Hopefully the experts will chime in regarding the backup switch - must be in/near the gearbox somewhere, eh?
