NY Auto show SS?
Hey guys, a friend has a pretty early long nose SS that he says was from the NY Auto show. No chassis number yet but from the pics think it could be possible? Does anyone else claim to have the NY car? Oh yeah, its for sale as well

Can't say or see anything from those pics. Don't even see if it is a low nose. Any more info on this car, i.e. numbers, history, level of completeness, etc.?
A very daunting project it seems.

I know all the glass, trim, and bumpers are included as well as a spare hood. The car is disassembled and needs to be painted. All the parts are there but nothing but the body has been restored. The cars VIN is 10120 00460. I did not write down the engine number, i will next time im there. There is no paperwork associated to prove it was the NY Auto Show car, the owner suffered a massive fire a few years back that destroyed most of his collection and all documents related to the car were lost. It is just rumored to be when he bought it. Regardless of her history you know how rare it is to find a SS for sale not to mention a customizable project car with all the parts there and no rust.

Definitely not a low-nose with that serial number. According to Fusi it's a Giulietta produced in '61.

Would be faster to have this one finished to your taste, Mike.
Having attended the NY Auto Show for about four decades, I can say with assurance that I wouldn't want to own any car shown on the floor there. Cars left on the street in Manhattan are less abused. Nevertheless, this one looks like a nice project if all the expensive bits are there.

Wish it was a west coast car, I'd be there with my enclosed car trailer.

Well she got auctioned off this past weekend. The owner got the car, and a few other rare assorted Alfa bits, and shes safe in a new garage. I think it is staying locally, hopefully to be restored and driven in New England soon! I am very excited to see how it goes. If anyone has any history or info on this car I am sure the owner would be very happy to know more about his purchase.
