Sprint column shift details

Hello out there,

I´m interseted to find out more, which details is included in column shifted early Giuliettas. Except of having another gearbox, can you please post pictures of all necessary parts.

I have to get pictures to find out if there are any missing parts.

In case, is it tough to find spare parts?

BR,

Here is the page from the parts book which should help you identify the bits which make up the column change.

How early is your Sprint? I have 00024

Dear Paul and '55,
I worked on one recently, and I know that there is also a cable assembly to convey right-left rail selection on the top of the transmission at right angles to the fore-aft selector rod shown. See the shop manual parts book or the car disc.
Keep the revs up!
Laurence

The 750 and 101 parts are different. 750 (which an early Sprint would have) has rods as pictured for the fore/aft movement, and a cable to the top of the transmission for the crossways movement.
Here are pics of the trans installed in my Berlina to show the two systems.

Column shift parts

Hello Sprint1955

To answer your question, here is the diagram of the column shift parts with the cable and the steering column shroud.

Paul, Andrew and I are restoring tunnel case column shift 750 cars, Paul is restoring car 00024, the earliest known chassis number, Andrew is restoring a 750C Berlina and I am restoring 05262, an August '57 Sprint. Laurence is a well known Alfista and 750 expert in the US, who has a very original 750E.

Between us, we've got quite a bit of information on tunnel case column shift 750's. How can we help you ?

What's the chassis and engine numbers of your car - can you post a few pictures of it ?

Best regards
Greig
