Are you sure it's a 1955 car? I thought number *01438* was the last '55 car. Your car is number *01608* so I think it is from 1956.

Oops, sorry, you are both correct, the only provision in the instruments is indeed the Luci / lights warning lamp which operates even when the parking lights are on.

Several of my Giulietta's simply have no provision for a high beam indicator light

Mea culpa.........

Production date

Alfa Romeo confirmed that the car was sold and exported to Hoffmann Motor Company in the US in the beginning of jan. 1956. So I think that is was produced end of 1955. ( ? )

More bodywork: front panel
The car had a new front panel when it came from the US, but this did not fit correctly. The right headlight was 1,5 cm behind the left one so we had to cut it and weld it again!
