Giulietta Spider Pininfarina Hard Top

Hello.

Regarding the Giulietta Spider, I was wondering if the hard top of the 2nd phase (LWB) fits the later Giulia Spider.

Plus, how can we measure the hard top, in order to distinguish the first one (passo corto - LWB) from the second one (passo lungo - LWB)?

Any help will be apreeciated.

Regards,

Ok, here we go again. First of all, 750 series PF steel hardtops for Giuliettas are a uncommon item here in the U.S.
Most often seen are the variations on the second series (LWB) 101 Giulietta's and Giulia's.
The early (1960) variation had two flanges and BOLTED to the rear deck. NO hooks on the trunk hinges on these cars. Next came the 101's with hooks on the rear deck separate from the trunk hinges, and the hook holes in the back edge of the top. Final 101 Giulia's had the trunk hinges with hooks as part of the hinges and the hook holes still in the interior rear edge of the top.
Now, I have not tried it, but it seems that the (SWB) 750 cars were shortened in the door area, lacking the triangular window at the front edge of the door. As such, any 101 top would almost fit (SWB) 750 cars, but the top would sit on top of the trunk hinge and the side window openings would not fit the windows.
The precise answer would be that any FACTORY hard top you are likely to locate, will have either the metal tabs that fasten to the rear deck, (early 101) Giuliettas, or internal holes to fit either version of the rear deck hooks, as part of the trunk hinge (late 101) Giulias, or the same top fitted to the intermediate, transitional (mid 101) Giuliettas, with separate hooks in front of the trunk hinges. I hope this is not too confusing. I have studied the PF steel tops found here in the U.S. Not many were imported. I do not know of records that might indicate the multiple variations manufactured, only what I have seen in 45 years of looking at them.
