Hi Tacconi

I'm busy investigating a run of the 750 cast aluminium sill mouldings at the moment.

Will keep you informed

Ciao
Greig

Hi Greig,

While at it and if possible, could you please ask about the later ones (101) in SS as well?

Thanks,
Dennis

Tacconi, "Door seal holder"? Are you speaking of the Aluminum threshold plate? I have the right side. Rick

Hello
No, it is not the aluminium plate that is protecting the paint on the threshold, it is the aluminium that retains the door seal rubber attached to the frame who runs around the door opening.
This weekend I will try to take a photo of my friends 2600 Sprint, who I think has much the same retaining aluminium
.
regards
Tacconi

Ahem...there is no door seal on the sills. Your friends 2600 might as well be a Buick. There are no door seals on the sills of a Sprint ...over and out.. The door seals are on the door.

Hello
Are you sure there is not any seal on the sill? in all the photos I have seen in different books the seal is on the sill not on the door, but I am not sure as I have not seen it live.
Can anyone help with a photo of a sill with or without door seal ?

The only rubber I can remotely consider is a foam gasket that was glued in the crevass/slot between the outer skin and the door jamb. It could have been carried along the step in the threshold. It would be a water trap but a good sound deadener and dust stop, I think it's a nice touch on the vertical but not so on the horizontal. It might make making the door close more difficult. I've never seen it applied there. Rubber suppliers should have a common square-ish profile to work. Rick
