Huh?

[quote=raelorance;784840]With a stripped down original '67 in my garage patiently waiting it's turn, I'm delighted with your effort!!Concerning your suggestion that it probably was fitted like car, this is not the case.Furthermore this drape came with the car. So my best guess is that this is original.Spiders from 1971 to 1978 also were fitted with rubber mats. Our carpet set replaces the rubber mats and includes all the carpet from the firewall to the ledge behind the seats.
A drapery system which allows for rapid hanging and removal of drapes has carriers which are connected to the drape panels using strips of Velcro material.
Lateral head protection on a convertible vehicle in which window curtain airbags cannot be integrated.

I am a bit lost on what you are trying to say?

Does anyone have a photo of how the chassis wire runs through the drape is connected and installed? Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Todd

Update

Hi all,

has been a while but I am making progress. I installed the rear drape and the trim. I am now working on the rear doorpanels, it all seems to come together. Progress is slow but I also managed to install the hoodframe, quite a challange btw

I hope I can get the car to the upholstry guys next week to get the top installed. After that only the front doorpanels and some carpet bits left to do. I will upload the pics when ready so anyone who has to do this job in the future will have a set of good pics.

btw: I am sorry USAF-1 but I can't help you out

Wire strung drape

Hi Todd

The 750's & up to 1960 used that wire-in drape system, the drape simply has a small fold over the top which is sewn to form a pocket to take the wire, which is strung from one side to the other underneath the rear deck - you will find two stiffening brackets underneath, near to where the rear boot hinges bolt through the deck, there is a small hole drilled in each of thse brackets to take the piano wire, which is tensioned & wrapped back onto itself. This is how my '60 works.

I don't think there's a standard operation procedure for wrapping the wire -

Ciao
Greig
