One thought to consider and I don't want to put a damper on your plan but If you plan to drive the car without the top up, dash mirrors serve the purpose. I promise, you will learn to rubber neck very effectively without a door or fender mounted mirror and you will besides of having a mirror. You won't depend on it. Secondly, that chrome object on a flimsy stem seems very inviting to the low lifes that have no appreciation for the car in parking lot on that dinner out and lastly none of the period mirrors easily adjust for a second driver in the family without a screwdriver.. Just some thoughts I considered when not putting on a mirror(s). Lastly, why clutter up visual lines already designed not to have them. Rick
