Speedometer

To all,
I am looking for a Giulietta speedometer that is in kilometers. It's condition isn't important. The one I have is missing an internal part or two. Any information is greatly appreciated. Ben..

Hi Ben

I'd suggest you tried looking in Europe, ebay Italy in particular as the USA & most of the export cars were in MPH, while the Continental cars were in Km/hr.

What do you need internally as the internals should all be the same - swapping face plates from km to miles shouldn't make a difference as whether the needle points to 40mph or 60km/hr, the car is still doing the same speed & the needle will still point to the same place on the gauge ??

Ciao
Greig

PM me if you need more details

If you are in the US, contact Palo Alto speedometer in California. They restore these instruments to as new, and may be able to provide the proper KPH internal lens.

Hi Rick

100% correct, the KMPH & MPH odo will be different - that's in the ratio of the gears that are used to turn the 'dials', hence my question of what is needed.
