what a beaut. it looks blue grey to me or is that just me? So i went to see Andy today and we picked a color and I can wait to see it or at least the first test of it. It will be a darker version of Blue Medio and we are hopeful that it will be as striking as we think it will!

Considering that it is a race car and I am a newbie racer, it has to look good as I may not be too fast!

this is the color i started out looking for and it looks great. I went lighter as I am not sure the spider body could carry the color as well. Great looking car

But I've still got the blues for you · Use to be so easy · Fall in love again · But I found that the heartache · It's a roll that leeds to pain........

Here is another blue spider to fall in love with. It's for sale at Autoclassic Autoclassic

I still think you should go for the darker side of the blues. Exiting to see your final choice.

well the color has been ordered but there will be a final review and a possible darking after we look at the color.

the funny thing is with these pics is that the color really looks different in a few of them, especially the top one. the rest of them are very close to what i am hoping we end up with!

Andy, what do you think?

A lot depends on the lighting and and also the camera settings. And your monitor settings. Paint should be here early next week. The guy who mixed it for me told me it was an exact match for the slightly darker chip I picked out.

It will be nice to see a Giulietta in a classic blue color for a different look. I have painted many 750/101 spiders over the years. Probably 10 or so were red, 2 were white, 2 were black, and I did a gray. This will be the first blue one i have did in any shade of blue. Have done a few blue Sprints

We will post some photos of the car after its painted.

Blu Medio ppg formula

When I restored my Giulietta after much research with the Alfa archives and the very helpful paint library at PPG, I painted it Blu Medio. The very nice folks at PPG did a spectrograph of a chip they had in the library and faxed me the a new formula-see the pic attached. I think it turned out great.

What a nice spider and scenery. Blue is a very special color because it always looks very dark against the sun as in your picture and much lighter in direct sunlight. That is not bad cause it makes the car body seems more dynamic and vivid.

Let the blues play.

I'm planning on restoring a 1958 750D Giulietta Spider, originally red, but I find that Bluette color stunning. Can you tell me what interior color goes with it in the Spider you've shown us? Thanks.

Ar 324

AR 324 is "Medium Cobalt Blue"- The original and current color of my Super. It is not as dark as Blue Olendese (aka Dutch Blue), and I wouldn't consider it to be a dark dark "midnight" blue, particularly in direct sunlight.
