How To Remove 63 Spider Top Frame

I would appreciate any advise on how one removes the top frame on a 63 Spider. I had had this car for 34 years and am now doing a make over.

I removed all the bolts and loosened the nut that is on that threaded shaft which comes out of the pasenger side of the tube that runs across the back between the two brackets. It moves a little, but is plainly not free to come out.

All advise gratefully welcome.

Thanks

Neil

PS

pictures seem to be favored - here is the car, at home, as of last week.

Neil, there is a lock nut and a pivot bolt on the passenger side. The lock-nut must be loosened and the bolt must be screwed in to allow clearance to remove the unit. Hope this helps.
