750 Veloce body worth
Hi,
Does anyone have an idea what a 58 spider veloce is worth, no
engine, car needs to be restored, but a very nice body, no rust
or rust repairs, very complete, I dont know what to offer, I have
the missing parts to put the car together. I am just looking for a
ballpark figure.
Thanks
Steve

My best approach to these things is to bring the seller current info. Now you have declared an honest vein in your body. Dave Brohan had one complete with and the mechanicals that wouldn't move where I thought it should have. Carry in E-bay sales for Carbs at $3750 and headers and engines and transmissions and cranks...... How much does he know about the CURRENT market? and then tell him you intend to make it a show car not flip it! They fall for that every time. A nice driver is $30-35000 (so I have learned recently). Some nutty people will pay 7-8 I would show him the cash and head for the door. If he says "STOP!" you have a deal BUT no bargain..Start at 4 end at 5 humming Dolly Pardon's "9-5" while you do the walk around. Steven, that will cost you a case of Hartford Vineyards, MO Vuvray or something like that. I forgot the vintage but it is very nice.

I assume the car is complete minus the drive train and some accessories but has seats, glass, suspension and most of the trim.

Yes, cars body is complete, nicer car than the one on e-bay in
Chicago a couple weeks ago, in dry storage since 1974, car does
have matching block, bare block and transmissioin.
Thanks

Provided the car is a true veloce with a reasonably sound body shell, and the correct matching veloce block, that would start out at $5,000. The amount of trim, seats, top frame etc. would help the value and most importantly the veloce parts. If you will need to obtain the correct veloce mechanical parts, cost will start adding up. Having the matching # block is a huge advantage but the other veloce parts are where the real money will have to be spent to make it correct.
Buying Veloce parts can be expensive, because it's worth it.

Thanks for the help, the body and interior are complete, and in
very nice shape, paint is faded, under the floor mats paint still
shines, trunk floor no rust at all or under the car.
Thanks
